Questions

What does Naqqi do?

It takes the file your bank or accounting system exports and gives back a clean Excel table: one header row, only the transactions, Arabic text that reads properly, real numbers and real dates in one format, and debit and credit laid out the way you choose. It also checks the running balance, row by row.

Which files can I upload?

Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm), CSV and text files in any encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16, Windows-1256), and the ".xls" files many banks export that are really web pages or text. Headers can be in Arabic, English or French. Old binary .xls files need saving as .xlsx first. PDF statements are not supported yet.

How do I know what changed?

Before cleaning you see what was found. After, every kind of change is counted with examples, every removed row is listed with its reason, cells that couldn't be read are flagged, and the Excel file keeps the original sheet and the source row of every clean row.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free during the beta, with no sign-up and no cookies. A table can have up to 100,000 rows, and a file up to 25 MB.

What happens to my file?

It is kept in memory only to clean it, and deleted within 30 minutes. Nothing from your file is stored or shared. The changes are suggestions for you to check.
